Help Us

Please Donate

Any donation, large or small, will help us continue our work.

Here’s what a few things cost :

Feeding an adult costs a bit more than feeding a child. For example, while $10 can feed 5 families of 4 people for a day, $25 will feed 62 children. That means that your $2 can feed a family of four for a day, but also almost six children in our school.
We need to buy gasoline to power the pumps that supply water for the camp. We use a barrel of fuel per day at the camp, which currently costs $250 in Mogadishu. Most of the fuel goes towards pumping water. In practice, $10 will allow us to provide water to 4’500 people, and $100 will give 45’000 enough to drink that day.
We help women start small businesses. Because IDP’s have lost everything, it is often impossible for them to provide for their families, and they depend on aid to survive. Helping women start their own businesses allows us to help them become independent again, and it also makes a lot of financial sense : while feeding a family for a year costs over $700, in our experience, a woman can start her own business for about $500, and feed her own family, for much longer.

Financial donations

The quickest, easiest way to help is probably via PayPal:

In-kind donations

We are happy to accept in-kind donations. All medical equipment and supplies will be used on our medical missions or donated to clinics in need.

In addition to medical donations, we will gladly accept physical donations of all types, both large and small. Some examples include but are not limited to cars, real estate, computers, furniture and televisions. In the event we are unable to use your donation for one of our projects, we will resell it and put the proceeds towards one of our projects.

If you are interested making a donation of this type, please contact us DHAF and a member of our team will contact you. In most circumstances we are able to arrange pickup of your donations.
